PumpMan, a Saddle Brook-based provider of pump services nationwide, has grown its presence in the Phoenix market with a second recent purchase, it announced.
The company has acquired Scott’s AZ Motor Electric Repair, it said, which provides service and repair for mechanical components and motor controls.
“As PumpMan expands its network of high-quality service centers around the U.S., it’s only natural that we add a company with complementary competencies like Scott’s,” Donald Devine, PumpMan’s CEO and president, said in a prepared statement. “As one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S., Phoenix is an ideal market for expansion of the network. With the acquisition of Scott’s and the recent purchase of Southwest Waterworks Contractors, we now offer comprehensive pump system repair services to the region.”
Scott’s owners Scott Sleeth and Judd Whalen will continue to lead the company after the close of the deal. The company will be known as “A PumpMan Phoenix Company,” transitioning later this year.
