Rockefeller Group, a real estate company, announced Wednesday it has named Mark Shearer as senior vice president and regional development officer for the New Jersey and Pennsylvania region.

Shearer, who has 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, will be based at the firm’s Morristown office. He will be responsible for the firm’s development operations in the state and Pennsylvania.

“We are delighted to welcome Mark Shearer to Rockefeller Group,” Brandi Hanback, executive vice president of industrial development for Rockefeller Group, said. “He is a strong addition to our leadership team and to the New Jersey/Pennsylvania region as we continue to execute on large-scale existing projects and identify future development opportunities.”

Prior to Rockefeller Group, Shearer was at Prologis as a senior vice president, market officer for New York and New Jersey.

“I’m thrilled to be leading development operations for Rockefeller Group at what is a very exciting and active time for both the company and for the broader New Jersey and Lehigh Valley commercial real estate markets,” Shearer said. “Rockefeller Group is a world-class organization known for its forward-thinking, talented roster of professionals, and I look forward to joining our strong team in the region and growing our development pipeline.”
