Pork Chops BBQ to open 2nd N.J. location in Ewing

Pork Chop’s BBQ, a Portuguese-inspired barbecue restaurant, will open its second New Jersey location, Levin Managemnt Corp. announced Wednesday.

The restaurant leased 2,700 square feet at the Capitol Plaza in Ewing. Levin serves as the exclusive leasing agent for the 355,000-square-foot, mixed-use property.

“Pork Chop’s BBQ has experienced great success at its original Flemington location, and this restaurant operator felt the timing was right to expand its popular brand,” Andrea Kyriacou, LMC senior leasing representative, who arranged the lease, said. “Capitol Plaza’s strong demographics and excellent visibility made it an ideal choice.” Located on the heavily traveled North Olden Avenue at the junction of Route 206 (Princeton Avenue), Capitol Plaza serves a residential population of more than 244,200 and a daytime population of 153,000 within a five-mile radius.

“Capitol Plaza also includes 1001 Spruce Office Center – home to Jersey College and other tenants – bringing hundreds of students, employees and visitors to the center each day. This provides additional upside for tenants and was a key draw for Pork Chop’s BBQ.”

Pork Chop’s menu includes ribs, chicken, beef and seafood, along with appetizers, salads, sandwiches, desserts, daily specials and a children’s menu.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
