Wisniewski, the former Deputy Assembly Speaker and Chairman of the Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee, also founded and operates his own law practice, Wisniewski & Associates LLC.

Wisniewski has also been a strong advocate for the program over the years, NJSBDC said.

“The NJSBDC program offers invaluable services and assistance for small business owners and entrepreneurs around the state,” Wisniewski said. “The economic impact of the program and the assistance provided for small businesses are important to economic growth and jobs. I look forward to my service on this Board.”

“We welcome John to our state advisory board,” Brenda Hopper, CEO and state director of the NJSBDC network said. “His business, legal and legislative experience is well regarded and we look forward to his contributions to our board.”

“John Wisniewski has been an avid supporter of the NJSBDC program for many years while he served in the New Jersey General Assembly,” Deborah Smarth, NJSBDC network’s chief operating officer and associate state director, said. “His diverse insights and strong knowledge are recognized. We’re glad he is now serving as a member of our statewide advisory board.”

Wisniewski served on the General Assembly for more than 22 years in various roles. He was also a gubernatorial candidate in 2017.
