Inspira Health Network celebrated the completion of its new Innovation Center in Mullica Hill on Tuesday.
The center, located in the South Jersey Technology Park at Rowan University’s West Campus, was designed to increase the development and implementation of patient-focused products and technologies. It is comprised of 2,500 square feet and features an open floor design, six collaboration rooms, a fully functional patient room and a living room area, which is similar to what would be found in a patient’s home, Inspira said.
“We are already testing concepts of an interactive patient room of the future,” Dave Johnson, vice president of innovations, said. “This center is a ‘maker space’, offering Inspira teams an escape to collaborate, utilize innovation tools, and deliver transformational care back to our local community. We are focused on practical, but creative ways to improve safety, quality, and the overall patient experience.”
“With such close proximity to our new Mullica Hill hospital, the location of our new Innovation Center is ideal,” John DiAngelo, CEO and president of Inspira Health Network, said. “By placing it in the South Jersey Technology Park, we have access to Rowan, researchers, start-up businesses and entrepreneurs.”
