Downtown Jersey City has another multifamily property, as 90 Columbus — a joint venture of developers Ironstate Development Co. and Panepinto Properties — has launched this month, with residents moving in and leases being signed at a strong pace.
The developers said in a news release that the 51-story tower, which features 539 residences, has more than 100 leases signed in the first three weeks, with some people already moved in.
“Ninety Columbus reflects the evolution of Jersey City and our commitment to delivering a lifestyle experience that meaningfully connects with today’s urban renter,” Michael Barry, Ironstate’s president, said in a prepared statement. “From modern design to innovative and thoughtfully curated amenity spaces to an ultraconvenient location, 90 Columbus is a great addition to the Jersey City landscape.”
The property is part of The Columbus Collection, a mixed-use development created by Ironstate and Panepinto that includes 1,484 rental residences, a 152-suite Residence Inn by Marriott hotel, a parking garage and street-level retail space.
“The Columbus Collection has proven to be a tremendous asset to Jersey City, and has helped spearhead the proliferation of new lifestyle offerings throughout the Grove Street neighborhood,” Joseph Panepinto, CEO and president of Panepinto Properties, said in a statement. “The amalgam of residential, retail and hospitality reflects the innovative lifestyle and culture of the city.”
The building at 90 Columbus sits at the entrance to the Grove Street PATH Station, and within walking distance of other local destinations, with views of the Manhattan skyline and more.
Residences include studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts. Monthly rents start at $2,695.
“Ninety Columbus provides a fresh and creative new lifestyle choice for residents in one of downtown Jersey City’s most sought-after neighborhoods,” Jacqueline Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors, the building’s exclusive leasing and marketing agent, said in a statement. “Prospective renters are truly amazed when they tour the building and see how unique and well thought-out the design and amenities are, which is reflected in the early leasing activity.”
Both Ironstate and Panepinto were represented on the recent ROI Influencers Real Estate 2018 list of the most powerful people in the industry.
