TRAC Intermodal, a chassis pool manager and intermodal equipment provider based in Princeton, announced it has acquires assets of the tire services division of Core Fleet Inc.
The acquisition will allow TRAC, through its newly formed subsidiary, TRAC Tire Services LLC, to provide tire wholesale, service, part distribution and retreading to the intermodal and commercial trucking sectors.
“This acquisition will enable us to provide improved fleet tire solutions to our customers while controlling their quality and cost,” Jennifer Polli, CEO and president at TRAC Intermodal, said. “The mission of TRAC’s new subsidiary is to supply customers with high quality, comprehensive services, including tire wholesale, parts supply, maintenance and retreading, to meet their commercial fleets’ needs.”
Core Fleet, which is headquartered in Florence, Kentucky, is a service provider for commercial fleets.
Starting in early 2019, the subsidiary will operate out of a brand new 102,000-square-foot facility in Florence that will house expansion space, warehouse space and administrative offices.
The new facility is doubling the manufacturing capacity of TRAC Tire Services, it said.
