Jacobs Enterprises Inc. and Pierson Commercial announced Monday new leases have been signed at a shopping center in Wall.
The Plaza 35 Shopping Center is currently undergoing renovations, the pair said. Recently completed renovations include a facade; improved lighting, sidewalks and parking lot; new pylon signage; and updated landscaping.
Jacobs had previously retained Pierson Commercial to serve as the property’s leasing agent and assist in the recent transactions. Jason Pierson and Ryan Starkman are managing the assignment for Pierson Commercial.
The new leases include Bubbakoo’s Burritos; Coastal Urgent Care, an emergency medical services provider; Meemom’s, a cafe; T-Mobile; and Health Fusion Wellness, a physical therapy provider. The center is anchored by a K-Mart, Jersey Strong Gym, Pet Supplies Plus, GNC and Sports Clip Haircuts.
“As a New Jersey shore town with a strong year-round population and day-time workforce, Wall has become one of Monmouth County’s best markets for retail, with growing competition for the relatively low amount of existing retail space available in the vicinity,” George Jacobs, president of Jacobs Enterprises, which manages Plaza 35, said. “A number of high-end national brands have recently opened new locations in Wall, which compelled us to modernize and update Plaza 35 in order to capitalize on this market’s growth.”
The property is within close access to Routes 35, 18, 34 and the Garden State Parkway.
