EDA offers delivery service $39M incentive to bring 600-plus jobs to South Jersey

An on-demand delivery service was awarded a 10-year, $39 million Grow New Jersey incentive by the state Economic Development Authority if it chooses Gloucester County for a new facility that could bring more than 600 jobs to South Jersey.

Gobrands Inc., which operates the GoPuff business and has 38 locations nationwide, is considering a 299,750-square-foot property in Glassboro and Harrison Township for its consolidated logistics, data analytics, research and development, warehouse and distribution operations, the EDA said.

It is also considering a 327,044-square-foot facility in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.

The Philadelphia-based company said in its application that it would invest more than $43 million in the facility, which would house 602 full-time employees.
