Prudential Advisors inks new president

Prudential Advisors has named Brad Hearn its new president, effective Dec. 3, it announced Wednesday.

He is replacing Salene Hitchcock-Gear, who recently was named president of Individual Life Insurance, which includes Prudential Advisors.

Hearn will lead Prudential Financial Inc.‘s national sales organization, which is comprised of more than 3,000 financial professionals, advisors and fee-based financial planners.

Hearn, who has more than 22 years of leadership experience in the financial industry, most recently was at LPL Financial as executive vice president of independent advisor business consulting.

“Brad’s deep understanding of advisor and client needs makes him well suited to lead our efforts to find new opportunities in a rapidly changing financial landscape as we expand our world-class financial advisory platform,” Hitchcock-Gear said. “His experience complements our commitment to build financial wellness — through financial education, advice and guidance — and provide insurance and investment solutions to our clients across the country.”

Hearn will report directly to Hitchcock-Gear.

Prior to LPL Financial, Hearn was vice president of Charles Schwab Institutional.
