South Amboy transit-oriented luxury apartment property hits full occupancy

Fairfield-based Woodmont Properties announced Monday its transit-oriented, luxury rental community in South Amboy has hit full occupancy.

The community, Woodmont Cove, has 106 two-story townhomes and 20 flats. Each townhome has a private garage, high-end kitchens, spa-like bathrooms and balconies or decks, Woodmont Properties said.

“Woodmont Properties promised and delivered an incredible project,” South Amboy Mayor Fred Henry said. “We now have a beautiful new living area that benefits Woodmont, its residents, and — of course — the people of the City of South Amboy.”

The property offers amenities including access to waterfront parks, a 6,000-square-foot health and wellness center, a basketball court, a swimming pool and an exercise training area.

“We’re thrilled to reach full occupancy at this one-of-a-kind community, which offers the perfect blend of luxury amenities and convenience to our residents,” Lewis Zlotnick, president of Woodmont Properties, said. “Residents of Woodmont Cove are just steps away from a variety of nearby amenities including the next-door YMCA and Raritan Bay Waterfront Park, which offers picturesque views of the New York City skyline, and is home to a variety of festivals, free concerts and public events throughout the year.”

The property is within close access to the South Amboy NJ Transit Train Station, the Garden State Parkway, the New Jersey Turnpike, Interstate 287 and Routes 35, 1 and 9.

“We’ve been excited about this project since its inception and take pride in a milestone such as this, which is a true testament to the diligence and hard work that went into making Woodmont Cove a shining success. Working with the city officials of South Amboy made this project even more special, as we were able to deliver on our promise to bring to market a luxury community that fits well within the character of the city,” Stephen Santola, executive vice president and general counsel of Woodmont Properties, said.
