Marilou Havorsen, president of the New Jersey Restaurant & Hospitality Association, has been named one of the 2019 Metro-NY Top Women in Foodservice & Hospitality by TotalFoodService.
Halvorsen is one of 27 women from New Jersey recognized by the industry publication in a variety of categories. She was honored among association leaders.
“As our state presents more and more regulation, which continues to harm our industry, my role has shifted from promoter to defender,” Halvorsen said in a prepared statement. “I’m proud to have an industry organization like TotalFoodService recognize my effort and hard work. This recognition is an honor and reinforces my belief that I’m focusing on the right issues for our members.”
