SJI names new SVP, chief financial officer

South Jersey Industries, an energy services holding company based in Folsom, announced Monday that Cielo Hernandez has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective immediately.

In her new role, Hernandez will be responsible for the company’s fiscal strength, strategic planning and financial oversight.

“SJI is thrilled to have a proven leader like Cielo join our team,” Mike Renna, CEO and president, SJI, said. “She brings not only strong technical expertise but an impressive track record of partnering with business units to drive operational excellence and profitability. Her leadership and principled approach will be integral to our business transformation efforts as we continue to drive growth through our regulated businesses.”

Prior to SJI, Hernandez was at A.P. Moeller Maersk Line A/S as senior vice president and chief financial officer for its North American region.
