Conduent promotes exec to chief compliance officer

Conduent Inc., a Florham Park-based business services technology company, has named a new chief compliance officer to oversee its security and contractual obligations.

The company said in a news release that Brian Clayton has been promoted to the new role focused on corporate compliance. He has been with the company since 2003, including serving as chief privacy officer and associate general counsel.

“Compliance with information and data security requirements is a critically important area for Conduent, and integral to our company’s operations,” CEO Ashok Vemuri said in a prepared statement. “Since joining Conduent, Brian has continuously sought out increased responsibility in his roles. He has the experience and leadership skills we need to ensure compliance for both Conduent and the clients we serve is always top of mind.”

Clayton has his law degree from New York Law School.
