FlexJobs recently released its Top 100 Remote Work Company To Watch list for 2019, and five companies based in New Jersey made the list.
To create the list, FlexJobs narrowed 51,000 companies down to 100 by pinpointing the ones that offered the most remote-friendly positions. To be considered, jobs offered had to allow for candidates to telecommute entirely or part of the time.
The five New Jersey companies and their rankings:
- Cactus Communications (U.S. headquarters in New Brunswick)
- ADP (Roseland)
- Covance (Princeton)
- Sanofi (U.S. headquarters in Bridgewater)
- Johnson & Johnson (New Brunswick)
Overall, the list represented more than 15 industries throughout 11 different countries.
“As we saw in the latter part of 2018, we expect 2019 to continue to be a job seeker’s market where companies will need to offer flexible/remote benefits to remain competitive and attract and retain the best talent,” Sara Sutton, founder and CEO of FlexJobs, said. “As this list demonstrates, companies of all sizes and across all industries can adopt work-from-home and flexible work policies to meet the changing demands of the workforce.”
Daniel Rosario, assistant vice president and editorial talent acquisition for Cactus Communications, said telecommuting options allows for Cactus to find the best editors and translators throughout the world.
“We are proud to be recognized by FlexJobs once again as a leader in freelance and remote job opportunities,” “Contractual and telecommute arrangements enable us to find the most suitable academic editors and translators across the globe so that our clients’ documents are always placed in the hands of the right expert. At the same time, our contractors and freelancers enjoy greater flexibility and variety than they would in an office-based role, which makes it a win-win for everyone.”
