Hollister Construction announced Tuesday it has been retained by AB Capstone to design and build a 10-story, residential high-rise building in the Bronx.
The project is expected to break ground in the first quarter of 2019.
The 114,000-square-foot building will be located at 425 Westchester Ave. Approximately 124,000 square feet will be above ground with 20,000 square feet below grade.
It will feature state-of-the-art amenities including an 85,000-square-foot charter school, 10,000-20,000 square feet of rooftop play space, 15,000 square feet of ground floor retail space, 37,000 square feet of nonprofit office space on its upper floors and a 20,000-square-foot cellar.
“The collaboration between Hollister and Michael Graves Architecture & Design has been exceptional in solving for AB Capstone’s needs and providing the best possible design for them, their tenants, neighborhood and environment. The collaboration is progressing seamlessly,” Andrew McLaughlin, project executive at Hollister Construction, said.
Michael Graves Architecture & Design will serve as the project architect.
