Paramus-based Haymarket Media Inc. announced Monday it has acquired Plantation, Florida-based National Association for Continuing Education.
NACE specializes in accredited continuing education programs for medical and mental health professionals.
Under the deal, NACE will join two other Haymarket divisions, Haymarket Medical Education and medical education website myCME. The acquisition will add 53,000 learners to Haymarket’s audience of 2.2 million health care professionals
“With their live meeting expertise, NACE will reinforce our position as a leading full-service provider of medical education,” Lee Maniscalco, CEO of Haymarket Media, said. “As in-person CE activities remain an integral, and required, part of how clinicians learn, the acquisition of NACE will allow Haymarket to build upon the strengths of this educational format in unprecedented ways.”
“Our collaborations over the years with Haymarket have offered significant value to our HCP attendees and program sponsors,” Harvey C. Parker, CEO and president of NACE, said. “NACE’s live meeting experience is a great enhancement to the work already being done at Haymarket; we are excited to be joining forces during this period of growth and expansion.”
Although NACE will be a part of Haymarket’s suite of services, it will retain its name, continue operations from Florida and function independently as a continuing education provider.
