Luxury rental building to open soon in Newark’s North Ironbound neighborhood

A new luxury residential building will open in Newark’s North Ironbound neighboorhood in the next couple of weeks, the community’s developer announced Monday.

325 Ferry Street is a collection of 91 luxury rental residences and will provide its residents with upscale amenities including unlimited gigabit internet, chef-inspired gourmet kitchens, GE stainless steel appliances, a private daily shuttle to and from both Newark Penn Station and the Harrison PATH Station, a fitness studio, a lounge, a coffee bar, an outdoor patio, parking, electric car charging ports, climate-controlled storage units, digital security surveillance cameras, an on-site building manager and more.

The property features one- and two-bedroom units with spaces from 638 to 1,116 square feet.

Prices start at $1,750 for a one bedroom and $2,303 for a two bedroom.

“325 Ferry Street will offer finely-crafted living spaces in one of the most exciting, unique neighborhoods in New Jersey, and that is something we are really looking forward to,” said T. Gary Gutjahr, who is developing the property along with his partner, J. Gordon Gutjahr. “We are proud to offer our future residents an exceptional lifestyle with access to shops, restaurants, nightlife and mass-transit.”

325 Ferry Street will also have street-level retail, which will be occupied by a 5,000-square-foot sports bar, Neapolitan Express Pizzeria, and a pet grooming salon.

“For more than 20 years, we have built custom, luxury homes in some of the most desirable locations in northern New Jersey, and now we are applying the same custom approach and meticulous attention to detail to the development of 325 Ferry Street,” Gutjahr said. “We look forward to providing our residents with an exceptional lifestyle experience and to launching a mixed-use building that contributes to the overall vitality of the neighborhood.”
