GAF, a Parsippany-based roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, announced Tuesday it has appointed Dion Rooney as chief information officer.
Rooney will be responsible for leading GAF’s technology organization.
“Dion has joined GAF with a long track record of empowering organizations with technology to succeed in today’s increasingly digital world,” Jim Schnepper, president of GAF, said. “His leadership and expertise will play a critical role in GAF’s evolution as we continue to pursue new and better ways to serve our customers and partners.”

Rooney joins GAF from Hudon’s Bay Co., the parent company of Saks, OFF 5th, Lord & Taylor, Hudson’s Bay and Gilt. Previously, he was the chief information officer and vice president, information systems at Toys ‘R’ Us.
