PDI, a maker of infection prevention products and solutions, announced Thursday that it has moved its global headquarters from Montvale to Woodcliff Lake, growing its presence in Bergen County and New Jersey.
The company, formally Professional Disposables International Inc., said about 180 workers have moved to the new space, while another 650 will remain at its Orangeburg, New York, site. The company said it expects continued growth and development to lead to new jobs at both sites in the future.
“Today marks one of the most significant and memorable milestones in the four generations of our family-owned and -operated business,” CEO Zachary T. Julius said in a prepared statement. “It launches PDI into our next phase of investment, growth and continued expansion. We are excited to bring our associates a world-class open-space environment that is not only fresh and new, but stimulates the type of invention that ensures our position as a leader, trusted adviser and value-added partner to our customers.”
The company said the new location will include a new, state-of-the-art lab and innovation center, as well as the PDI Experiences facility, which will allow customers and visitors to experience how products are used while inspiring new solutions for the future.
Amenities at the new headquarters include a gym, café and more.
PDI said its growth over the past several decades has led to a quarter of a billion people using its products and innovations each year, with 97.7 percent of U.S. hospitals utilizing the company’s products.
