SB One Bank names Duarte its new CFO

Rockaway-based SB One Bank announced Tuesday it has appointed Adriano Duarte to executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Duarte, the bank said, will succeed former CFO Steven Fusco.

Duarte, who has more than 20 years of banking experience, has been with SB One Bank since 2011. Prior to his appointment, he was senior vice president and assistant financial officer at SB One Bank.

In his new role, he will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting and treasury. He will also take the lead on building and maintaining relationships with stock analysts and the investment banking community.

“Adriano has been groomed for this position,” Anthony Labozzetta, CEO and president of SB One Bank, said. “Not only is he equipped for the job, but he understands the culture of our bank as well as our business and financial goals. We are confident that he is going to serve SB One Bank well as CFO.”

Prior to SB One Bank, Duarte was at Investors Bank serving as vice president and financial reporting manager.

Duarte a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA as well as an officer of the New York-New Jersey chapter of the Financial Managers Society. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Rutgers University.
