Plymouth Rock Assurance, an auto and home insurance provider, announced Tuesday it will celebrate the grand opening of its new corporate headquarters in Woodbridge on Wednesday.
Its new office is located at the Mack-Cali building at 581 Main St.
Plymouth Rock said the event will welcome members from the business community, including Assemblyman John McKeon; Assemblywoman Yvonne Lopez; Marlene Caride, Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance; Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac; and others.
Plymouth Rock said more than 650 of its employees have moved into the new space from its former Red Bank and Berkeley Heights offices. The final group of employees relocated Monday.
“Plymouth Rock’s next phase of growth brings a number of exciting changes to our organization,” Gerry Wilson, CEO and president of Plymouth Rock Management Company of New Jersey. “An important change is the centralization of our New Jersey operations to this beautiful modernized space in Woodbridge. The move helps us improve organizational effectiveness, allows us to compete for top talent in the New York metropolitan area, and makes our location more attractive to employees with easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway along with greater accessibility to mass transit.”
Plymouth Rock’s new building provides high visibility from the New Jersey Turnpike and is within close access to Newark Liberty International Airport, and the Metropark and Woodbridge rail stations, it said.
The new location has an upgraded entryway and lobby, a new fitness center, a full-service cafe, and new technological features.
“We remain deeply committed to the state of New Jersey,” Wilson said. “It is also our hope that this new headquarters will serve as a launching pad for continued growth in New Jersey as well as our expanded operations into neighboring states. We’re very excited for the opportunities it will open up for the company.”
