Red Bank-based OceanFirst Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of OceanFirst Financial Corp., announced Monday it has named Daniel J. Harris as president of the New York region.
Harris will spearhead the bank’s expansion in New York, OceanFirst said. He will be responsible for enhancing and expanding commercial lending in the New York City market through partnerships and hiring new professionals to the OceanFirst team.
Harris, who has nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently served as managing director and head of commercial real estate finance at Morgan Stanley Private Bank N.A. Before that, he held leadership roles with Hudson Valley Bank and The Greater New York Savings Bank. He currently serves as chairman of the American Bankers Association Commercial Real Estate Lending Committee.
