RWJBarnabas names execs from Brach Eichler to its business development team

RWJBarnabas Health announced Wednesday it has named two executives from Brach Eichler‘s Health Law Practice to its business development team.

Mark Manigan has been named executive vice president and Deb Lienhardt to senior vice president.

Manigan, who will begin his role April 1, will report directly to RWJBarnabas CEO and President Barry H. Ostrowsky.

“We continue to position ourselves as a national leader while improving the health of our communities,” Ostrowsky said. “Mr. Manigan and Ms. Lienhardt are highly qualified attorneys who have significant experience in both corporate and regulatory health care matters and we are excited that they will be joining our team.”

“Mark and Deb are wonderful attorneys whose approach to the business of health care is second to none.  They have been key forces in developing our Health Law Practice to become the most highly respected team in the region,” John D. Fanburg, managing member of Roseland-based Brach Eichler and chair of its Health Law Practice. “We are proud of their accomplishments and know RWJBarnabas Health is fortunate to have them on its team.”

Prior to his appointment, Manigan served a variety of health care clients at Brach Eichler. Before that, he served on both Gov. Phil Murphy’s and former Gov. Chris Christie’s transition teams.

Lienhardt spent two decades in health care law and transactions. She was the program coordinator of the New Jersey Healthcare Market Review and started her career in Washington D.C. tracking federal health care reform bills and legislation for clients.

“Mr. Manigan and Ms. Lienhardt are fluent in issues vital to the industry,” Ostrowsky said. “They will expertly drive our system’s growth and allow us to further leverage opportunities for progress.”
