The Marketplace of Elmwood Park has hit full occupancy, thanks to two new long-term leases, Cushman & Wakefield announced Tuesday.
The leases at 430 Market St., which is owned and managed by Gerry Puccio of Maxim Realty Trust, were filled by gym brand Anytime Fitness (5,700 square feet) and Israeli burger chain BurgerIM (1,880 square feet).
David Townes and Alana Friedman of Cushman & Wakefield headed the transactions. Rob Runyan of Franchise Real Estate represented Anytime Fitness. Blake Shanaphy and Marta Villa of Jones Lang Lasalle represented BurgerIM as tenant broker.
The property is within close access to the Garden State Parkway, Interstate 80 and Route 46.
“This shopping center sits in the heart of a high-traffic, densely populated area,” Townes said. “More than 12,000 vehicles pass this location each day, and Market Street is an established local retail corridor – making The Marketplace of Elmwood Park an enviable, highly visible destination for national brands looking to grow their presence in northern New Jersey.”
Anytime Fitness’ new facility will specialize in wellness, personal training and body conditioning. It currently has 4,000 facilities throughout the world.
BurgerIM, which means “multiple burgers” in Hebrew, is a hamburger chain with a diverse menu made from Japanese wagyu beef, lamb, salmon and certified halal meat. It has or will open soon locations in Englewood, Bergenfield, Cranford, Metuchen, Newark and Union.
