NJIT names Tukel dean of management school

New Jersey Institute of Technology announced Monday it has appointed Oya Tukel the new dean of the Martin Tuchman School of Management, effective July 1.

Tukel has more than 27 years of experience at the Cleveland State University in education, administration and research.

She currently serves as professor of operations and supply chain management. Prior to that, she was an associate dean overseeing nine majors and more than 2,100 students, department chair for supply chain management and finance, and director of graduate programs.

She has also held associate editor and editorial board member positions for academic journals, chaired five doctoral committees, co-chaired the Global Entrepreneurship Symposium, held various consulting and training roles, and more.

In Ohio, she worked on various initiatives on the state level with the Department of Higher Education.
