JLL announced Wednesday it has secured a space in Paramus to serve as the new headquarters for DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin LLP.
JLL said DeCotiis signed an 11-year, 42,000-square-foot lease occupying most of the second floor at 61 South Paramus Road. The property is a Class A, 282,126-square-foot office building.
The law firm is relocating to the building from Glenpoint Centre West in Teaneck, JLL said.
Frank D. Recine, executive managing director at JLL, and Nicolas DeCotiis, associate, represented the tenant. Adam Karafiol, senior vice president of leasing at Onyx Equities, represented the ownership.
“DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, a preeminent New Jersey-based law firm, went through a detailed internal evaluation in order to capture the partnerships’ vision of the future direction of the firm,” Recine said. “Recognizing the work environment is ever evolving, the partners have continued to reinvest in the firm and this large headquarters relocation demonstrates their commitment to their clients, partners and the state of New Jersey.”
The five-story office building, JLL said, was acquired by venture partners Onyx Equities and Garrison Investment Group in 2017.
“The firm found 61 South Paramus Road to be an ideal location for its new headquarters space,” Nicolas DeCotiis said. “The office building is centrally located with conveniently easy access to three major New Jersey highways, offering easy access for its clients and employees. The law firm was also attracted by Ownership’s imminent plans to upgrade the property with new amenities and services.”
The property is within close access to routes 4 and 7, and the Garden State Parkway.
“While we are proud that the DeCotiis firm has outgrown our previous headquarters, securing the right new offices was key to continuing the exemplary client service and development that has brought us this far,” Joseph DeCotiis, firm co-managing partner, said. “JLL met our expectations and exceeded them. We look forward to the many years spent in our new Paramus location.”
