Empowering efforts: Female leaders on the importance of embracing opportunities (Sponsored Content: Marketsmith)

EY’s Professional Women’s Network has partnered with Marketsmith Inc in 2019 to create the Women’s Empowerment Series, bringing together top women executives in NJ for networking, learning and empowering conversations on topics critical to professional and personal growth.

EY Assurance Partner, Alison Yablonowitz, has spent much of her career focused on the advancement of women in business and the Empowerment series is the next evolution of her passion. Monica Smith, the founder and CEO of Marketsmith Inc. has spent her entire career being a role model for women as the CEO of the largest women-owned and led Mar-tech Company in NJ.

Opportunity was the resonating theme at the first Women’s Empowerment Series event of 2019, held recently at The Rutgers Club in Piscataway. The event, which attracted a room full of women leaders, sparked conversations on a range of topics, ranging from careers to home life to balancing them both.

The “TED Talk”-inspired session included Smith, Frutta Bowls founder and CEO Brooke Gagliano and J.P. Morgan Managing Director Andrea Shkane. Each speaker focused on her personal experiences recognizing opportunity and risks — and doing so without fear.

Upcoming events are scheduled throughout the year:

  • Topic:  Creating Community  June 19th
  • Topic:  Building Connections   September 19th
  • Topic:  Recognizing Blind Spots   December 12th
