Mallory Boron, M&T Bank

M&T Bank announced it has appointed Administrative Vice President Mallory Boron as retail banking market manager for New Jersey.

Boron brings more than a decade of banking experience, having formerly served as retail regional manager for Hudson, Essex and parts of Bergen counties. In her new role with the bank, she will be responsible for managing all retail bank operations at more than 75 branches throughout New Jersey.

Boron earned her bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Niagara University and her MBA at the University of Buffalo. She currently resides in West New York.

Thomas N. Ryan, SCARC Foundation

Thomas N. Ryan, an attorney and managing partner of Laddey, Clark & Ryan LLP, based in Sparta, was honored by the SCARC Foundation at its Honors Awards Gala Dinner at Perona Farms.

SCARC is a nonprofit organization committed to working with individuals with developmental disabilities, offering support for them and their families. Ryan is being honored because he recognizes and supports the extraordinary work that SCARC Inc. and SCARC Guardianship Services perform on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities. “Tom has been a great help to SCARC with his legal advice and opinions, as well as his encouraging support to our organization,” says Richard C. Lecher, SCARC CEO and president. “Tom has been a vital part of our support team for many years, and we have always cherished his wisdom regarding our legal needs.”

Ryan is an employment and commercial litigator, business and government services lawyer who focuses on representing management and individuals in both the private and public sectors. He has litigated cases in both the New Jersey State Superior Courts and in the Federal District Courts. Ryan was one of the founders of Laddey Clark & Ryan in 1989 and, along with his law partner, Andrew Fraser, has grown the firm into a leading law practice in Northwest New Jersey.

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice recently honored Susan Fisher, clinical manager and Florence resident, for 25 years of service to the not-for-profit hospice and palliative care organization. The award was given at this year’s Winterfest celebration — an annual event recognizing employees and volunteers for their service milestones and dedication to the not-for-profit organization.

“Susan is one of the most experienced, hardworking, skilled and creative people on staff at Samaritan,” said Mary Ann Boccolini, CEO and president of Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice. “Susan works hard to assure the best possible experience for each of our patients and their families. Her genuine sincerity and innate desire to go above and beyond the call of duty for our staff, patients and their families are a testament to her character and have established her as a respected leader among her peers.”

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice also honored Julie Weitzman, lead development coordinator and Cherry Hill resident, for 20 years of service to the organization.

Kate Sherwood, Centrica Business Solutions

Centrica Business Solutions, a subsidiary of Centrica PLC, welcomed Kate Sherwood as the new vice president head of sales in North America. In her new role, Sherwood is responsible for serving commercial, industrial and utility customers by leading the team developing end-to-end energy solutions for Centrica Business Solutions’ customers across North America.

“I’ve led successful go-to-market strategies and sales teams, from startups to established firms for over 20 years,” said Sherwood. “A large part of my success stems from using data to drive outcomes that are good for both our business and our customers. I am excited to lead the North Americas sales team for Centrica Business Solutions and deliver the insights and solutions our customers are looking for, while supporting Centrica’s focus to shape a low carbon future.”

Prior to joining Centrica Business Solutions, Sherwood was senior director of grid modernization at 3M, where she led the introduction of new data-enhanced material science solutions into the global utility & critical infrastructure markets. Prior to 3M, she spent over a decade in the solar and energy storage industries, where she held leadership roles with Advanced Microgrid Solutions, SolarCity, Recurrent Energy and SunPower. Prior to solar, she spent over a decade in finance, marketing and strategy consulting with the U.S. Department of Justice, Sun Microsystems and Accenture.

Randy Thompson, Sharp Home Electronics Co.

Sharp Home Electronics Co. of America announced the appointment of Randy Thompson as director of sales, with a focus on Sharp’s home appliance business in the U.S.

A former member of the Sharp team, Thompson will be responsible for maintaining and expanding Sharp’s partnerships with our Southeast retail and distribution partners. His focus will be on Sharp’s line of premium home appliances, which includes a full range of microwave ovens, Superheated Steam Built-in and Countertop Ovens, Plasmacluster Ion Air Purifiers, Induction Cooktops and more. Thompson will report to Peter Weedfald, senior vice president of sales and marketing.

“Randy brings extensive industry experience to Sharp,” said  Weedfald. “As a highly respected Sharp Corp. alumnus, his deep understanding of sales and marketing, along with his highly respected sales and background, will make Randy a key asset to all of Team Sharp.”

Michael A. Weinberg, Weinberg, Kaplan & Smith P.A.

Weinberg, Kaplan & Smith P.A., a Marlton-based law firm specializing in family law and divorce, has announced the addition of Michael A. Weinberg to the firm as a partner, joining co-founding partners Dawn Kaplan and Amy Smith. Previously, he was a shareholder with Archer & Greiner P.C., and served as co-chair of the Matrimonial Department.

Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a matrimonial law attorney, Weinberg, of Cherry Hill, focuses his practice on complex and sensitive matrimonial and family law matters, representing high net worth individuals, business executives, entrepreneurs and their spouses.

Weinberg is widely recognized as an outstanding leader in the field of family law throughout the state of New Jersey and serves as chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee, and is the co-chair of the Camden County Bar Association Family Law Section.

Greenberg Traurig

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP elevated Andrew W. Scher to shareholder and Nicholas Martin to counsel. Scher and Martin both work in the firm’s New Jersey office.

Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig announced the elevation of 32 attorneys to shareholder and 27 to of counsel/counsel in more than 20 areas of legal practice. The firm, which earlier this year opened its 30th office in the United States and 39th worldwide, also reported a fifth consecutive year of record revenue of more than $1.55 billion, an increase of $80 million over 2017.

Deborah Lee, Vital Decisions

Vital Decisions LLC, the leading organization in serious illness advance care planning and alignment, recently welcomed industry veteran Deborah “Deb” Lee to the company as vice president of strategic solutions. In light of increasing demand for Vital Decisions’ solutions, Lee will leverage her extensive experience and network to develop strategic business relationships with health plans to bring Vital Decisions’ Advanced Care Alignment program to health plan members.

Lee has been in the health care industry for over 15 years, working on programs designed to impact and enhance the member experience when interacting with government sponsored health programs. Prior to joining Vital Decisions, she held high level positions with Anthem Inc., where she focused on advancing members’ care through the addition of vendor supported clinical programs and Medicare supplemental benefits.

Jeff Russo, DRS Imaging Services

DRS Imaging Services LLC is very pleased to announce that Jeff Russo has joined the company as the executive vice president of sales and marketing. He will focus his attention on serving existing DRS Imaging Services clients and working to provide document scanning services and software solutions to new customers.

As an industry veteran, Russo has been in the imaging and content management space for over 25 years. He comes to DRS from DocuWare as he served as an East Coast senior sales director position, where he managed a team of eight regional sales directors. Prior to his position as East Coast director, he was a regional sales director and grew his region over 400% in five years.
