Luxury rental residence in Newark to host grand opening

325 Ferry Street, a new luxury rental residence in Newark’s North Ironbound neighborhood, it will host its official grand opening ceremony on May 4, it announced Monday.

The celebration will be held from noon to 3 p.m. and include tours and light refreshments.

“This grand opening event will celebrate not only the official opening of the building, but also the overwhelmingly positive response we have received from renters,” T. Gary Gutjahr, who developed the property along with his partner J. Gordon Gutjahr, said. “We are proud of the reception the community has received thus far and we are looking forward to being a part of this vibrant, walkable, transit-friendly neighborhood.”

Two-bedroom residences are still available, as more than 40 percent of the 91 units at the property have already been leased. Prices start at $2,317.

The property’s amenities include modern living spaces, gigabit internet, a private daily shuttle to and from Newark Penn Station and the Harrison PATH station, street level retail, a pet grooming salon, a custom fitness studio, a lounge with flat screen TVs and Wi-Fi, a coffee bar, an outdoor patio, fire pits, games and more.

It also has covered parking, surface parking and electric car charging ports.

“We take the quality of our design and the level of detail we put into creating each and every residence very seriously, so it is gratifying to see so many renters are responding favorably to the community, even before our official grand opening,” J. Gordon Gutjahr said. “It’s the same approach we have taken building custom, luxury homes in New Jersey for more than 20 years and it is translating well to Newark’s dynamic North Ironbound neighborhood.”
