FDU’s Rothman Institute accepting nominations for N.J. Family Business of the Year Awards

Fairleigh Dickinson University‘s Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship announced it is accepting nominations for its 27th Annual New Jersey Family Business of the Year Awards.

Nominations, FDU said, are currently being accepted through June 1.

The program recognizes significant contributions to the economy and community made by family business in New Jersey.

“Family businesses form the foundation of the New Jersey economy. It is therefore essential that we support these businesses and celebrate their success,” Dr. Dale Caldwell, executive director of the Rothman Institute, said.

Sally Glick, principal and chief growth strategist at Sobel & Co. LLC, has been retained as Master of Ceremonies.

“For several years Sobel & Co. has been a proud sponsor of the annual Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Family Business of the Year program. Since our inception more than 60 years ago, our firm has served the middle market, family-held business community.  As such, it is an honor to partner with FDU to spotlight some of the best representatives of successful privately-held companies across the state. This is the only event that recognizes New Jersey family businesses and it is exciting to reward their efforts and celebrate their significant impact on the state’s economy and quality of life,” Glick said.

Finalists, which were chosen by a panel of judges comprised of past winners, members of the business community and FDU’s faculty, will be honored at a luncheon at the Crystal Plaza on Oct. 23 and featured in New Jersey Business Magazine.
