Bielat Santore & Co. announced Friday La Tavola Cucina, an Italian eatery in South River, has recently sold.
“This sale was an emotional decision for (restaurant founders Steve and Jill Sullivan) but after over 20 years in the restaurant business, 10 of those years at La Tavola Cucina, they felt it was time to move on to the next chapter,” Joseph Denker of Bielat Santore said.
The restaurant was sold to another husband and wife team, Eddy and Mimi Nkwepo, Bielat said.
With no immediate plans to change the restaurant, Eddy and Mimi Nkwepo will work to ensure the restaurants’ clientele experiences the same quality food and hospitality.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
