Lightstone general counsel joins CSG real estate group

The general counsel of real estate management and development company Lightstone Group has joined Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi P.C., the West Orange-based law firm said this week.

Adriana M. Peters, who has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate law, will join CSG’s Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group as a member, the firm said in a news release.

In her new role at CSG, she will bring expertise in commercial leasing issues across all asset types to the firm’s expanding commercial leasing practice, serving local, regional and national owners and tenants, the firm said.

“CSG offers a robust transaction and commercial leasing platform, a formidable and rapidly expanding roster of attorneys and a first-class client base, which I greatly look forward to serving,” Peters said in a prepared statement. “I could not ask for a better place from which to launch this next exciting chapter of my career.”

With the New York-based Lightstone Group, Peters was involved in commercial leasing and other transactions, and directed legal efforts focused on acquisitions, developments, financing and more. She has also worked in private practice for a regional firm and her own boutique real estate practice.

“Adriana is an outstanding attorney with the rare combination of legal and practical experience setting her apart as a savvy advocate for owners, developers and tenants in today’s complex real estate market,” Mitchell S. Berkey, co-chair of CSG’s Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group, said in a statement. “Her multifaceted background will, without question, provide a value-add for our sophisticated clientele.”

Peters is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law and is licensed to practice in New Jersey.
