The New Jersey Ballet Co. has leased space in Florham Park in deal arranged by CBRE, the real estate firm announced Monday.
The 60-year-old dance company, CBRE said, is expanding and relocating from Livingston to 16,641-square-feet at 7-9 Vreeland Road in Florham Park. It is expected to take over occupancy in October.
Thomas Mallaney of CBRE represented the landlord, SK Realty Management, in the lease negotiations. Additionally, CBRE Project Management was hired by New Jersey Ballet to oversee and manage construction and finances during the move. Building architect Parette Somjen will design the new space, CBRE said.
The property is comprised of 155,918 square feet and includes 20-foot ceilings, ample parking and an interior courtyard.
“Celebrating its 16th year of entertaining the public, the New Jersey Ballet required additional space that would allow the company to expand its operations and grow its mission of teaching the community about the art of ballet,” Mallaney said. “This transaction was a team effort, which included the building ownership, the brokers at NAI James E. Hanson and architect Parette Somjen.”
Joshua Levering and Nick DePaolera of NAI James E. Hanson acted on behalf of the New Jersey Ballet.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
