Imperial Dade acquires Strauss Paper Co.

Jersey City-based Imperial Dade has closed on the acquisition of Strauss Paper Co. Inc., it announced Tuesday.

This is the 22nd acquisition for Imperial Dade, a distributor of disposable food service and janitorial supplies, under the leadership of CEO Robert Tillis and President Jason Tillis.

Strauss, based in Port Chester, New York, and founded in 1943, is a distributor of janorital and sanitation supplies and equipment. The acquisition, Imperial Dade said, will strengthen its presence in New York’s tri-state area.

“Strauss is a leading distributor in the Northeast and has an excellent commitment to its customers, which makes it a great addition to the Imperial Dade platform. We are excited to welcome the Strauss team members to Imperial Dade and look forward to working together to further grow the business,” Robert Tillis said.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We are excited about the future of Strauss under the leadership of Imperial Dade. On behalf of the Strauss team, we are excited to join the Imperial Dade organization,” Stewart Strauss, CEO and president of Strauss, said.
