Walters, a developer based in Barnegat, announced Wednesday it has completed Cornerstone At Seaside Heights, a new age- and income-restricted apartment community in Seaside Heights.
Walters said it redeveloped the site to create “the barrier island’s only new residential building for seniors.”
“The completion of Cornerstone At Seaside Heights is important because it not only increases access to affordable, high-quality housing and services for seniors, but it is also continuing the revitalization of Seaside Heights,” Joseph Del Duca, partner and director of affordable housing for Walters, said.
The property has 91 one- and two-bedroom residences and amenities including community spaces for socializing, computer use and exercising; a fitness center; club room; on-site parking; elevators; secured key fob access; intercom entry and cameras; and more. Prices start at $995 for a one-bedroom and $1,250 for a two-bedroom.
Cornerstone At Seaside Heights is located on the corner of Bay Boulevard and Hamilton Avenue. It is also within walking distance to the Seaside Heights beach, Island Beach State Park, the boardwalk, and shop and dining.
An open house will be held on Saturday, June 15 from noon to 3 p.m. The development is open to adults 55 and older who do not make more than 60% of the county’s median income, Walters said.
