NKF to lease, market E. Brunswick’s One Tower Center

Newmark Knight Frank has been hired to lease and market an East Brunswick office tower that recently changed hands, the real estate services firm announced recently.

One Tower Center, a 417,430-square-foot Class A property that includes a hotel and conference center, as well as offices, was acquired earlier this month by American Equity Partners.

NKF’s leasing team of Jamie Drummond, senior managing director; Steve Tolkach, executive managing director; Adam Silver, managing director; and Andrew Perrotti and Dan Reider, associate directors, will handle the assignment.

“We’re excited to work with AEP on transforming One Tower Center into a unique building offered to the East Brunswick office market,” Drummond said in a prepared statement. “After partnering with AEP on two successful assignments, we now share a strong bond and vision for the property that will enable us to find the right tenants who are looking to attract and retain talent in East Brunswick.”

AEP plans to add an amenities center, including fitness center, lounge and café, as well as renovating the conference facility and updating systems, NKF said in a news release. A coworking space, Kahoots, is also opening at the property.

The building was 39% occupied at the time of the deal, according to real estate firm CBRE, which represented the institutional seller in the AEP transaction.
