Kering, a global luxury developer, announced Wednesday it has begun development on a new operations center in Wayne.
Kering said it is initiating a new operating model that will substantially reorganize and streamline its current logistics footprint, with new investments in the U.S., Asia and Italy.
The 770,000-square-foot center in Wayne will serve as Kering’s new North American operations center, replacing its existing facility in Secaucus, it said. The site sits on 31.8 acres and is located at 150 Totowa Road.
The building will feature 80,000 square feet of office space and a 17,500-square-foot repair center for its products, Kering said.
The development is expected to be completed in 2020, Kering said. Kering will be applying for LEED Gold certification for the building once complete.
