Allstate New Jersey Insurance Co. announced Monday it is planning to expand agency force this year by hiring 200 new sales professionals.
Out of the 200 Allstate aims to hire, 20 to 25 will be agency owners and the rest will be licensed sales professionals to work for Allstate agency owners.
Allstate said it is looking for workers with a strong entrepreneurial drive and a passion to help others in their community. Candidates do not need an insurance background.
To help with recruitment efforts, the company is offering a $2,500 bonus to anyone who refers a qualified candidate to Allstate in New Jersey. The bonus is payable upon the appointment of a candidate as an agency owner.
“Allstate is a trusted brand and an excellent wealth-building opportunity for a small business owner. We are unique among all other insurers because the agent owns the economic interest in their business,” Jack Clarke, territorial sales leader for Allstate New Jersey, said. “We’re dedicated to opening new agencies throughout New Jersey as the need for comprehensive protection services grows alongside our population.”
The company said the majority of Allstate agency owners in the state generate between $310,000 and $618,000 in gross annual revenue.
