Mahwah-based Ascena Retail Group Inc. announced Thursday it has promoted Dan Lamadrid to executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Aug. 4.
Lamadrid, who previously served as the company’s senior vice president, finance and chief accounting officer, is replacing Robb Giammatteo, who told the company he plans to leave his post at the end of August.
Giammatteo will serve as a senior advisor during the month of August to ensure a smooth transition.
Lamadrid will report directly to CEO Gary Muto.
“We have a strong successor in Dan, who has played a critical role in our transformation and strategic portfolio review. He is a highly accomplished finance executive and I look forward to his partnership,” CEO Gary Muto said.
“Robb has been a valued member of ascena for many years and we wish him the best in his future endeavors,” he said.
Lamadrid joined Ascena in 2017 after serving as senior vice president, chief accounting officer at the Vitamin Shoppes and vice president and controller at Ralph Lauren. Prior to those roles, he held financial leadership positions at Hartz Mountain Corp. and Toys R Us.
