Collagen Matrix Inc., an Oakland-based developer and maker of collagen-based medical products, has been acquired by the private equity firm Linden Capital Partners, the Chicago-based firm announced recently.

Collagen Matrix makes products used for tissue and bone repair and regeneration in orthopedic, sports medicine, dental and neurosurgery markets. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“The CMI team’s unique understanding of collagen-based technologies, along with their commitment to innovation and quality manufacturing make CMI stand out as a leading biomaterials developer and manufacturer,” Gerard Moufflet, operating partner of the health care-focused firm, said in a prepared statement.
