Rite Aid inks Sapphire Digital’s Donigan as its new CEO

Rite Aid Corp. announced recently that it has appointed the former leader of a New Jersey health care company as CEO and member of the board.

Heyward Donigan previously served as the CEO of Lyndhurst-based Sapphire Digital, formerly known as Vitals.

Previously, Donigan served as the executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Premera Blue Cross. Earlier in her career, she served as senior vice president of all operations at Cigna Healthcare. She also held executive roles at General Electric, Empire BCBS and U.S. Healthcare.

Rite Aid is based in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
