Sapphire Digital names interim CEO

Sapphire Digital announced Monday it has a new interim CEO.

The Lyndhurst-based health care company said Kyle Raffaniello has been named to the role, replacing Heyward Donigan, who left to become CEO of Rite Aid.

The company also announced Bryan Perler has also been appointed to the role of chief financial and administrative officer.

“I am proud of the team we have built at Sapphire Digital,” Raffaniello said. “The skills, experience and drive of the leadership team that I have the privilege of leading will continue the extraordinary growth and operational excellence of the company.”

Raffaniello, who has more than 25 years of experience in the health plan and provider segments, previously served as Sapphire’s chief strategy and marketing officer. Before Sapphire, she served as chief strategy officer and executive vice president at ValueOptions; senior vice president, sales and marketing at Consortium Health Plans; and has held senior roles at a number of regional heath plan companies.

Perler previously served as the company’s chief financial officer. In his new role, he will continue to lead Sapphire’s financial operations and growth and be tasked with data, analytics and quality information across. Prior to Sapphire, he was the CFO and head of strategy at Benchmark Solutions. He also worked at Tradeweb Markets, including as director of U.S. strategy and business development.
