Glenn Miller, Association of Fundraising Professionals
Glenn Miller, executive vice president, chief development officer for RWJBarnabas Health, has been honored by the board of trustees of the New Jersey Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals at its Excellence in Philanthropy Awards. Miller received the Robert J. Smythe Award for advancing philanthropy in New Jersey.
The Robert J. Smythe Award recognizes an individual who brings honor, dedication and distinction to the profession, exemplifies the professional standards set by the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has demonstrated at least 10 years of experience in fundraising.
“Under Glenn’s direction, RWJBarnabas Health has shifted its philanthropic focus from special events to major gifts and capital campaigns, standardizing processes and volunteer responsibilities, centralizing key functions and enhancing the overall culture of philanthropy,” said Barry H. Ostrowsky, CEO and president of RWJBarnabas Health. “We congratulate Glenn on this well-deserved recognition for his philanthropic work within the RWJBarnabas Health system and its positive impact on the communities we serve.”
Jonathan Roth, the DAK Group
The DAK Group, an investment bank specializing in mergers, acquisitions, business sales and other strategic advisory services for middle-market business owners, is pleased to announce that Jonathan Roth has joined as the vice president of investment banking.

Rizco, a creative campaign agency based at the Jersey Shore, is pleased to announce Jennifer “Jen” Barker as the new director of digital + engagement strategy.
Barker brings 15 years of experience to Rizco, with a track record of helping clients grow their digital footprint and increase their return on investment through design, development and marketing. Shawna Cooper-Gibson, Seton Hall University
Shawna Cooper-Gibson, a national leader in academic, co-curricular and multicultural student development, has been appointed vice president of student services at Seton Hall University.
Cooper-Gibson currently serves as the assistant provost for student academic services at Loyola University, Chicago, and will officially begin her new position on Oct. 14.
