We asked him for some common-sense tips for when people aren’t home — whether on vacation or traveling for business.
Going away is great for us, but not for our empty homes. In addition to using a home monitoring system, here are a few easy, non-tech tips:
- Never leave a hidden key;
- Move valuables out of sight;
- Unplug non-essential electronics and appliances.
- Also unplug yourself from social media. Posting those vacation pictures tells people that you’re not home.
