Alan Ritchey selects ORBCOMM’s monitoring solutions for fleet management

Alan Ritchey Inc. has selected ORBCOMM‘s in-car and trailer monitor solutions for its dry van fleet, the Rochelle Park-based provider of Machine-to-Machine and Internet of Things solutions announced Wednesday.

ARI, based in Valley View, Texas, transports mail for the U.S. Postal Service.

ORBCOMM said its solutions will provide wireless connectivity through hardware and integrate a cloud-based analytics platform for optimal fleet management.

ARI will use the solutions to monitor and manage its drivers and trucks, which will include data from the engines, brake systems, fuel tanks and more, to decrease operating and maintenance costs and improve productivity.

“Alan Ritchey is committed to leveraging technology to improve their transport operations, and we are pleased to provide our in-cab and trailer tracking solutions to help them gain a comprehensive view of all of their assets through one integrated platform,” Marc Eisenberg, CEO of ORBCOMM, said. “By leveraging the valuable insights delivered through ORBCOMM’s platform, Alan Ritchey can make more informed fleet management decisions to comply with ELD regulations, increase driver safety and improve productivity.”
