Hollister Construction Services LLC, a prominent building firm in New Jersey and the region, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, it announced Wednesday.
The company, based in Parsippany and serving New York and Pennsylvania in addition to the Garden State, said on its website that it will remain in operation during a reorganization process.
“Our current leadership team will maintain management control of the company during this reorganization,” the company said in a “Chapter 11 vendor and customer communication” posted on the site. “However, the bankruptcy court will hold final review and oversight over all significant business decisions outside the ordinary course of business.”
Recent Hollister projects in New Jersey include being retained as construction manager for a hotel project in Morristown and the Honors Living-Learning Community at Rutgers University’s Newark campus.
The case was filed in the District of New Jersey; no hearings have yet been set.
