Conair closing E. Windsor warehouse; nearly 100 could be laid off

Conair, the Connecticut-based maker of personal care and beauty products, is closing its East Windsor warehouse facility, which could cost nearly 100 employees their jobs.

The company issued a federal WARN notice that said 98 workers are at risk of layoffs by Nov. 29, with the 150 Milford Road site closing by March 31, 2020.

Affected employees are entitled to severance and certain benefits, according to the notice.

Conair did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

WARN notices normally cover mass layoffs or facility closings as part of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1989.
