On Monday, Georgian Court University announced the launch of its new online degree program in communication and digital marketing.
The Master of Science in Communication and Digital Marketing was developed to help professionals pursue a wide variety of careers, including director-level positions.
The program, Lakewood-based GCU said, was approved recently by the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education and will begin enrolling graduate students in the fall of 2020. Applications are currently being accepted.
The curriculum is broken down into 10, three-credit courses which can be completed online in a year or two. Coursework includes digital marketing, campaign management, branding, media law, business analytics, and more.
“Today’s marketing and communication professionals must combine creativity, expertise in use of digital technology, and business savvy to be successful. This unique program integrates the fields of communication and business (marketing) to satisfy the requirement that these professionals require to gain understanding of the audience or customers,” Ashley Elmore, associate professor of business and director of graduate business programs, GCU’s School of Business & Digital Media.
“The curriculum highlights creative process, design, distribution of messages across media, and assessment of results using digital technologies,” she said.
