New XFL team announces season ticket pricing

The New York Guardians, New Jersey’s team in the new XFL spring football league, announced Tuesday that season tickets for the 2020 season will start as low as $25 per game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

The team, which has its offices in Jersey City, said in a news release that season ticket packages start at $25 for the lower level seats and at $95 per game for club seats. The Guardians will have five regular season home games between Feb. 8 and April 12.

“Family-friendly pricing, club seating, exclusive benefits and incredible access are just a few examples of our fan-first approach to ensuring the XFL experience is available to all,” Janet Duch, the team president, said in a prepared statement. “Our season ticket prices reaffirm our commitment to affordability, and we are excited to welcome current and future football fans into the XFL family. Our fan base will be at the heart of what makes a Guardians game day special.”

A Guardians spokesperson told ROI-NJ than nearly 60% of the team’s seats cost $50 or less, and nearly half cost $35 or less, under the season ticket plans. Leaguewide, nearly three-quarters of tickets cost $50 or less.

Season ticket perks include access to a special online community, a merchandise sales discount, VIP experiences and more.
